Honeycomb core A low-density honeycomb material used as the core material for sandwich structures. It can be manufactured using more than 500 different materials. The main honeycomb core materials include aluminum alloy, resin-impregnated glass fiber fabric, aromatic fiber paper, kraft paper, graphite fiber and Kevlar fiber, etc. The resin content is about 50%. Honeycomb holes have many different shapes, such as hexagonal, rectangular, reinforced shape, etc. Its performance depends on the material, cell shape and size, etc., and anisotropy. The shear strength of the regular hexagonal honeycomb core material along the L direction is approximately twice that of the W direction. Mainly used as aircraft radome, radome, aircraft floor, rudder, etc.
